Casting Calls
Extras are needed beginning next week for the SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement feature film THE BOOK OF JOBS. Filming is in Tulsa, OK.
THE BOOK OF JOBS follows a girl growing up in Silicon Valley in the shadow of Steve Jobs’ triumphant return to Apple, and his outsized influence on her imagination, ambitions and relationships. It is described as a Rite of Passage film.
Pay for extras is a guarantee of $112/day for up to 10 hours of work. Anything over 10 hours will earn overtime.
BREAKDOWN OF EXTRAS
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21
TEACHERS – Males and females, 30-60, any ethnicity. High school teachers.
HALLWAY STUDENTS – Males and females, aged 15-21, any ethnicity. These students pack the hallway of their high school.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26
PROM DATES – Males and females, 16-21, any ethnicity. These are high school students about to attend the prom. They are the dates of some of the lead characters in the film. Boys, please provide pants, jacket, shirt and shoe sizes. Girls, please provide dress and shoe sizes.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2
ONCOLOGIST – Black female, 40s. She is a respected oncologist at a cancer center.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS – Males and females, 25-55, any ethnicity. They are teachers at a middle school.
PARENTS IN CARS – These parents wait in their cars for the kids to get out of school. (Please include photo of vehicle). This role will be paid an additional $25 for the use of the vehicle on camera.
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS – Males and females, aged 10-13, any ethnicity.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3
PROFESSOR – Male, 40-60, any ethnicity. A college professor.
BARISTA – Male or female, 20-30, any ethnicity. Actual barista experience preferred.
HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS – Males and females, 25-60, any ethnicity.
COFFEE SHOP STUDENTS – Males and females, 16-22, any ethnicity.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5
DRIVERS WITH CARS – Males or females, 21-65, any ethnicity. They will drive their car back and forth during a shot. Please include a photo of the vehicle you would bring to set. Preferably no white or red. This role will be paid an additional $25 for the use of the vehicle on camera.
