The Historical Cherokee Musical “Nanyehi – The Story of Nancy Ward” is Casting Call For its Lead Male Role, DRAGGING CANOE.
This is a paid role which also includes travel and accommodation if the actor lives outside of the Tulsa area. This role requires a strong singing voice, acting experience, and the ability to do fight choreography. Although an indigenous actor is preferred, it is not required.
“Nanyehi” is the story of Nancy Ward, a legendary woman who was first honored in the 18th century as a Cherokee war woman but then as a peacemaker during the American Revolution.
